Here at #blkcreatives, we believe that it’s important to be aware of our history as Black and brown people – especially during a time where political tension is at an all time high. Many of us work in environments where we’re often the only people of color in the office or in the room. This chat will dig into how to navigate our Creative professional environments while staying true to our Blackness.
WHAT & WHO: #blkcreatives is an agency that empowers Black Creatives to establish the best connection connection possible between their personal development and their success.
Born in April 2015, our monthly Twitter chat called discussions revolve around a specific topic that relates to our personal development and growth as people and professionals.

Joymarie is an experiential marketer with a penchant for design, travel & great food. Inspired by everyday conversations with friends, family and coworkers, she launched Joblogues as a forum for young professionals to discuss work, life & everything in-between.

Jonathan Jackson is the Head of Corporate Brand and Co-founder of Blavity, where he looks to push the story and ideology behind Blavity to new markets and establish strategic partnerships with new partners. He spent the past three years at LinkedIn in various roles across HR, Advertising, most recently as an Editor overseeing the Influencer Program, which brings together 500 of the world’s top thought leaders to engage with LinkedIn’s 400M members through rich insights and original content. As a writer and strategist, his work has appeared in 99U, The Muse, and other nationally syndicated publications. He graduated from Washington University in 2013, where he studied Political Science and Writing. He currently resides in Harlem.
Ariel Lopez is a career coach, entrepreneur, and public speaker with an expertise in digital media and technology. She is the Founder and CEO of 2020Shift, a career development and skills-based learning startup focused on diversifying tech. With over 5 years of recruiting experience Ariel has worked with top brands and startups to help them build pipelines of talent.
She’s worked with thousands of marketing, advertising, and tech professionals to help them grow in their careers and find lucrative opportunities. And Ariel is also a member of Forbes Coaches Council.

Quinnton is a multi-disciplinary designer & artist living in Bay Area California with his life partner Ariel Belgrave. He grew up in Maywood, IL and graduated with honors from MIT in 2011. He has a twin brother named Neko Harris, and an older brother named Shaun Wright.
